My Story

Born in 1986, my creative life began with piano, colors and brushes when I was 10. I have always had a passion for music, painting and calligraphy. But it all started for real at the age of 17 and after studying 3 years of high school in Mathematics and Physics!  I chose to be a Graphic Designer! Starting my BA in Visual Communications in 2004, a whole new chapter of my life had begun.

Having been working in the creative industry since 2005, I feel lucky to have chances of working with amazing people and designers and to learn and understand the industry, alongside with the academic world. I have worked in many creative areas; Advertising, Art direction, digital design, brand identity, typography, editorial design, User Interface design, and photography.

Afterwards, in 2010, I moved to London to study my Masters in Communication Design at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication. During this year, I found myself having a great passion for brands and specially advertising. Having one of my projects displayed at the Southeby’s London in August 2011 and in Saatchi Gallery in November, I am starting to feel like I’m fitting well in my new environment.

After finishing my Masters and doing some other freelance projects in London, I became an IPA creative Ad schooler, and placed at Euro RSCG London to work as an Art Director intern. I worked on creating and designing campaigns for global brands, such as Peugeot, Thomas Cook, IPA, and Havas Worldwide.

I’m still available for work, so please do feel free to contact me.

  • Dr. Mark Ingham

    Masters Programme Leader/ Principal Lecturer

Yasamin joined the MA at Ravensbourne in September 2010 and she fully engaged with all aspects of the programme and developed very good relationships with her peers and tutors alike. She became a very valuable member of the year group and produced work of a very high standard. She made a very good start with her first project, which was to create a self initiated brief based on a contemporary issue she felt strongly about. She was very motivated for this project but what was really good was that she listened to the feedback and acted on it during the next brief. Because of this attentiveness to the constructive criticism and her own dedication she produced some remarkable work for her final degree exhibition. Yasamin is very talented and thoughtful, who is hard working and uses her imagination and creativity to great effect. She will be a very valuable addition to any organisation she is involved with and I can recommend her to you unequivocally.
